As little as necessary, as effective as possible
Our products are not based on complex formulations, but on the conviction that skin primarily needs high-quality lipids to maintain its natural functions.
That is why all our formulas are consistently water-free and based exclusively on fats, oils, waxes, and selected fat-soluble active ingredients.
Why we consciously choose not to drink water
Water is often the main ingredient in traditional cosmetics.
It makes the skin feel light, but has no nourishing effect itself. At the same time, water makes emulsifiers, preservatives, and stabilizers necessary.
Our recipes do not require water. This means:
- no emulsifiers
- no traditional preservatives
- No dilution of the nourishing ingredients
Instead, the skin receives highly concentrated care, with each ingredient fulfilling a specific function.
Organic beef tallow as a functional base
Our high-quality organic beef tallow forms the basis of our products. Its lipid structure is very similar to the natural oils found in skin, making it an extremely well-tolerated raw material for skin care products.
Depending on the product, the tallow is:
- used pure (100% natural)
- textured with beeswax
- supplemented with vegetable oils
- refined with carefully selected active ingredients
This results in different care profiles—from minimalist to regenerative—without straying from the basic approach.
Fats and oils with a clear function
All other ingredients are carefully and specifically selected. We only use fats and oils that fulfill a specific purpose in the recipe, for example:
- Consistency and protection
- Rehydration and barrier care
- Soothing stressed skin
- Regeneration and elasticity
Among other things, vegetable oils, butters, and waxes are used, which have proven themselves in fat-based formulations.
Fat-soluble active ingredients instead of complex additives
Where appropriate, we supplement our formulations with fat-soluble active ingredients. These can be used stably in water-free products and do not require any additional additives.
These include, for example:
- natural antioxidants
- herbal macerates
- skin-soothing oils
- vitamin E
The selection is always made according to the principle: as much as is reasonable – as little as possible.
Different products, same philosophy
Many skin reactions are not caused by individual ingredients, but by the sum of unnecessary additives. Our experience shows that the clearer and more straightforward a formula is, the better the skin can tolerate it.
The reduced composition of our products is therefore particularly suitable for:
- dry skin
- sensitive skin
